Q1. Why did you join Acuity?
'Having implemented Sage X3 in different countries previously, I wanted to get back into an environment with a multinational client base. Acuity offered that and also a multi-cultural team.'
Q2. What will you bring to Acuity?
‘I have over 6 years’ experience with Sage X3, two of them as an end user and over 4 years as a consultant. This combination of end-user and consultancy experience gives me a unique perspective to systems implementation and enables me to easily establish common ground with clients. As a consultant, I have expanded my skill base to cover various modules of Sage X3 ranging from financials, distribution and manufacturing. I am also a budding self-taught Sage X3 developer . It is this combination of multiple skill-sets and experience that I will be bringing to the team.'
Q3. What attracted you to Acuity?
‘Mainly the unique blend of independence and teamwork in the Sage X3 team. The independence that Acuity consultants have in running their projects, while still getting the necessary, will help me build relationships with clients and deliver solutions to match their needs. I was also attracted by the international nature of both the teams and the projects as this will broaden my experience.'
Q4. What are your first month objectives?
‘My first objective is to get to know the team and understand more about how things work at Acuity. My second objective is to get to understand the nature and needs of Acuity clients. I have already hit the ground running in this regard, having already visited some of our clients.’
Q5. What are you currently excited about in your new role?
‘The chance to support the Acuity vision by deploying my technical expertise to implement effective Sage X3 solutions. I am looking forward to supporting, and to be supported by, the great team at Acuity.'
Q6. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
‘Mainly playtime with my one year old son. He is a bunch of energy and takes advantage of any spare time that I am available to him. When he allows me to, I spend some time watching TV. I am very much of an indoors person, especially during the winter, so besides the odd run 3 or so times a week, I rarely venture out. In summer months, I love spontaneous drives to see different parts of the UK with my family.'
