Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a business management software—usually a suite of integrated applications—that a company can use to collect, store, manage and interpret data from many business activities, including: Product planning, cost and development. Manufacturing or service delivery. Marketing and sales. Wikipedia

ERP Solutions can help to alleviate many of the IT problems that plague the modern enterprise, by pulling together data from disparate sources, facilitating better communication between departments, and providing for improved strategic decision making and organisational agility.

ERP software can provide significant benefits to companies seeking to take advantage of improving economic conditions. Improved liquidity, better financial and business-wide reporting and decision making, and reduced duplication of data and processes are just some of the tangible benefits.

However, there are still a lot of companies struggling with the smaller accounting and business solution packages. Many firms are missing out on the benefits that ERP systems can bring because of the perceptions that it is difficult and expensive to implement.

This need not be the case.

In order to streamline their business processes and cope with more complex business requirements as the business has grown, an education in ERP and what it can do for these companies often result in real positive surprises.

Companies don't ever think of Sage in the 'ERP' way (believing that they need to reach out to other vendors to source these types of product) so here is our chance to display our 'crown jewels' and show the way forward with the Sage ERP product sets (there isn't another Business Partner in the UK who can right now).

Quite simply, ERP has moved on. If you are one of the organisations that still views ERP as a potential disaster, it may be time to look again.
